For 19 years, the Contra Costa community has gathered together to honor Domestic Violence Awareness Month at the Rebuilding Lives Luncheon as part of events in communities and regions across the fifty states will culminate in a powerful statement celebrating the strength of battered women and their children.

The Rebuilding Lives Luncheon is both a moving experience, as a client tells her story of abuse and survival, and a day of great celebration, as we honor new Rollie Mullen Award winners for their work to end domestic violence in Contra Costa County. Attended by local politicians, business leaders, and community members, this is an event you and your company or organization do not want to miss.

Highlights of past events include speeches by Robin Givens, Denise Brown, sister of the late Nicole Brown-Simpson, and Niecy Nash.

We are proud to announce that this year’s keynote speaker: Erin Gray. Erin was America’s image of the ideal woman for five years as “Kate” in Silver Spoons”, the popular NBC-TV series.

In addition to a complete spectrum of prevention, intervention, and treatment programs, STAND enlists the efforts of the communities it serves, as well as partners and institutions striving with us to stop violence and child abuse. We cannot achieve our mission without the efforts of everyone in the community, every school, every faith community, and every neighborhood.
